ATSX 2025/26 World Cup - A New Era Begins

The 2025/26 season marks an important milestone in the history of ice cross, as the sport officially enters a new chapter under the ATSX Ice Cross World Cup banner. While previous seasons were contested as World Championships, the new World Cup format builds directly on that legacy, continuing the same high sporting standards while opening the door to further development and growth of the series.

This winter’s calendar will feature two World Cup events, bringing together the world’s top ice cross athletes for another season of fast, technical and highly competitive racing:

  • Winterleiten, Austria – January 30–31, 2026

The season opener in Winterleiten returns as a familiar and proven venue, offering a demanding track that rewards precision, speed and tactical racing. As the first World Cup stop of the season, the Austrian event will be crucial in setting the early tone in the overall standings.

  • Sainte-Angèle-de-Mérici, Canada – February 19–22, 2026

The World Cup then moves to North America, where Sainte-Angèle-de-Mérici will host the second event of the season. Known for its dynamic racing and strong fan support, the Canadian stop is expected to play a decisive role in the battle for World Cup points.

With a compact calendar, the World Cup format places even greater emphasis on consistency and performance, making every heat and every run count. Established champions and emerging talents alike will be aiming to make an immediate impact as the new era of ice cross competition begins.

As the countdown to winter continues, anticipation is building for the launch of the first-ever ATSX Ice Cross World Cup season, carrying forward the tradition of elite ice cross racing while setting its sights firmly on the future.
